Bradford J. Wolk, MD

After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Dr. Wolk received his Medical Degree at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and also did his Residency and Chief Residency at the University of Vermont.

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrician and Gynecologists and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrician and Gynecologists. Dr. Wolk is also accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine for Obstetrical and Gynecologic Ultrasounds. He has been in Private Practice for over 20 years and enjoys the unique combination of primary care, in which he sees patients on a yearly basis, and the acute care of problems that arise in all aspects of women’s health care. Dr. Wolk has been practicing OB/GYN in Melbourne for the past 9 years.

Dr. Wolk and his wife, Caren, have seven children and enjoy living near the beach in the Melbourne area.

The March of Dimes is a national organization whose mission is to help mothers have full term pregnancies and research problems that threaten the health of babies. This is a good resource for many of the questions that expectant mothers may have.

The Brianna Marie Foundation
My Journey with an AngelDr. Wolk is a sponsor and supporter of the Brianna Marie Foundation which is an organization developed to raise funds to foster future research and development of a fatal illness known as Fetal Hydrops (or Hydrops fetalis) which effects 1 in 600 to 1 in 4000 pregnancies in the United States. The Foundation was started by Aran and Patrick Hissam whose daughter Brianna Marie had Fetal Hydrops. Their story is beautifully told in Aran’s book “My Journey with an Angel”.

BRAC Analysis
This site provides information regarding genetic testing to see if an individual is at a higher risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Testing is done if there is a significant family history of these cancers. If an individual has a genetic predisposition for breast and ovarian cancer, appropriate testing and preventative treatment can be considered.
